It is encouraging that the Swiss advertising market recovered in 2021 despite the ongoing Corona pandemic. In particular, it is positive that for the first time since 2011, the overall growth in advertising sales of 5.4 per cent was stronger than the growth in GDP, which rose by 3.7 per cent in 2021. The annual publication of the Stiftung Werbestatistik Schweiz (Swiss Advertising Statistics Foundation) provides information on the net amounts invested by advertisers in the most important Swiss advertising media for the distribution of their advertising messages during the past year. The current advertising statistics show net advertising revenues of around CHF 4 billion for the year 2021.
